Steve
in to the Semis in Chicago!
Steve was on form at the Chicago Players Championship this weekend (14/09/08). He reached the semi-final of the event, beating many top players along the way!
He was unlucky losing 3-2 in sets to the eventual winner, Colin "Jaws" Lloyd.
Steve's progress at both events can be seen below:
First Round: Steve met Kory Nichols in the first round, where he won convincingly 3-0 in sets.
Last 32: He then played very well in defeating Colin Osboune 3-0 to win his board and reach the last 16 of the event.
Last 16: In his third game Steve defeated Lionel Sams 3-1, to set up a quarter-final match against Wes Newton.
Quarter-Final: Steve was in fine form as he eased past Wes Newton 3-0 in sets, without dropping a leg. (2-0, 2-0, 2-0)
Semi-Final: Steves run was ended by an in form Colin Lloyd 3-2 in sets. (0-2, 1-2, 2-1, 2-0, 0-2)
