2008 Players Championships
Now that all of the 2008 Players Championships have been played, Steve has earnt himself a place in both the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championships & the Players Championship Finals in January which is to be held at the Circus Tavern.
Dutch Darts Trophy Players Championships
Steve made the last 32 at Saturdays event (08/11/08). Defeating Jasper Smidt 3-0, before losing to Van Barneveld 3-2. Crucially, Steve missed 3 darts to win the 3rd set & be 2-1 infront. However, Sunday saw Steve defeat Barneveld on his way to the last 16.
Steve was again in fine form this weekend (2/11/08), as he reached the last 16 for the second pro event running. He defeated Vidal Rugales 3-0, Peter Quinn 3-0 & Kevin McDine 3-2 before losing to the eventual winner, Terry Jenkins.
Steve was again in fine form this weekend as he reached the last 16 of the German Darts Trophy. He lost 3-1 to Carlos Rodriguez, who went on to reach the final. Mr Magic defeated Miloslav Navratil 3-0 & Terry Jenkins 3-2 to reach the last 16 stage.
Semis at the Scottish Players Championships
Steve was in fine form this weekend as he reached the semi finals of Saturdays pro tour event, he then went on to reach the last 16 of Sundays event also. These results see Mr Magic now in a strong position for qualifying for the 2009 World Championships.
Steve lost in his first game against Dave Ladley today, (4/10/08). It went all the way to the final set, unfortunately it was Dave who took the game, winning 3-2. He then played very well on the Sunday, but lost out to Matt Clark 3-0 in a superb match.
Steve reached the last 64 in Newport at both events this weekend (20-21/09/08). He defeated Justin Pipe 3-1 in sets and Faizer Hill 3-2 before losing to Matt Clark 3-1. He then defeated Simon Pratt 3-1, before losing to Robert Thornton 3-2 on Sunday.
Windy City Open Players Championship
Steve was on form at the Chicago Players Championship this weekend (14/09/08). He reached the semi-final of the event, beating many top players!
He was unlucky losing 3-2 to the winner, Colin Lloyd.

Steve reached the last 32 in Ireland this weekend (6/9/08), he played well in defeating Andy Howarth 3-1 (sets) in his first match. However, then in the last 32, Steve lost to the in form Alan Tabern 3-0.
Steve lost in the 1st round at Saturdays event, but advanced further on Sunday (31/08/08), reaching the last 32. He lost 3-2 to John Magowan on Saturday, but defeated Tony Eccles 3-0 & M. Rosenauer 3-2 on Sunday before losing in 5 sets to Terry Jenkins.
Peachtree Open Players Championship
Steve reached the last 16 in Atlanta today (24/08/08). He won the first round, defeating Dave Switzer 3-0 and in the second round, he beat Andy Jenkins, again 3 sets to 0. However, Darin Young ended Steve's run in the last 16, Steve losing 3-1 in sets.
Kitchener Open Players Championship
Steve reached the last 32 in Canada today (17/08/08). He won his first match, defeating Terry Hayhurst 3-1. In the second round, he overcame James Graton again 3 sets to 1. However, Dave Honey stopped Steve's run in the last 32.
Steve reached the last 128 in Blackpool today (19/07/08). He won his first match, defeating Steve Stubbs in straight sets 3-0. However, he was defeated in his next game by Wayne Jones 3-1.
Las Vegas Desert Classic Result
Steve was defeated 6-3 at the 2008 Las Vegas Desert Classic today (03/07/08). Steve actually led 2-1, taking out 101 on double 16 to break Manley's throw. However, Manley moved infront 3-2 despite Steve hitting 5 perfect darts in the fifth leg.
Steve then levelled the match taking out 86 on the bullseye but Manley then went on to capitalise on 3 missed doubles by Steve and took the match 6-3.
Steve qualified for the 2008 Las Vegas Desert Classic today (30/06/08). He defeated Rocco Maes 5-2, Dan Zimmerman 5-1, Steve Evans 5-1, Alex Roy 5-3 & finally, Alan Tabern 5-3 in his final game.
Las Vegas Players Championship
Steve played well in defeating Mark Neilsen 3-0 in sets today (29/06/08), before losing out to Dennis "The Menace" Priestley 3-0. Steve played well, but Dennis was too strong.
Steve defeated Peter Wright yesterday (14/06/08), before losing out to Phil Taylor. However, on Sunday, he reached the last 16, defeating Graeme Stoddart 3-0, Alan Warriner-Little 3-0 & Mark Layton 3-1, before losing out to Kevin Painter.
2008 Blue Square UK Open Finals
Steve reached the last 32 of the UK Open Finals in Bolton today (07/06/08). He defeated Ian Jopling 6-1 in his first match & Denis Ovens 9-6 in his second. He today lost out to Chris Thompson 9-5.
2008 PartyPoker.net US Open
Steve was in Connecticut, for the 2008 US Open this weekend (16/05/08). He won his first round match without dropping a set, 3-0 against Scott Henning. In the second round, he was unlucky to be defeated 3-2 by Gary Mawson. Gary going onto qualify for the TV stages including a victory over R. Van Barneveld.
Steve was in fine form, for the Open Holland Players Championship (26/04/08). He was defeated in the last 32 by R. Van Barneveld 3-1 in sets, a tight match which could have gone either way. He had previously won his first 2 games without dropping a leg.
Steve was in Glasgow this weekend (19/04/08), for the Scottish Sun Players Championship. He was defeated in the last 64 by Jamie Caven 3-2 in sets. Steve scored well but missed doubles and could have actually won the game 3-0.
Steve was unlucky this weekend (12/04/08), he ran into Kim Huybrechts, despite 6 180's he lost 3-1 (sets). The promising young player then went onto defeat Peter Wright 3-0 and Raymond Van Barneveld 3-2 before losing out to Ronnie Baxter.
Steve reached the last 64 at the Blue Square Midlands UK Open this weekend (30/03/08). He defeated Kevin Harris 5-4 in the first round, before losing 5-2 to Ronnie Baxter.
Steve was at the International Centre in Telford today (29/03/08), where he was unfortuante to run into Martyn Turner in his first game and was defeated 3-1 (in sets).
Steve was on form at both Players Championships this weekend (22-23/03/08). He reached the last 32 on Saturday and the last 8 at Sundays event, beating World no. 1 Raymond Van Barneveld along the way!

Steve reached the last 64 at the Blue Square North West UK Open this weekend (16/03/08). He defeated Ian Lever 5-1 in the first round, before losing 5-2 to Steve Evans.
Steve was at the Robin Park Arena in Wigan today (15/03/08), he was unlucky to run into Wayne Atwood in the first round and was defeated 3-0 (in sets).
Steve was at the Blue Square Southern UK Open this weekend (02/03/08). He defeated Yves Cottenge 5-3 in the first round, before narrowly losing 5-4 to Jan Van Der Rassel, who went on to reach the Quarter-Finals.
Steve reached the last 32 at the Brentwood Centre today (01/03/08), he defeated Ian Jopling 3-0 (in sets) & Jason Crawley 3-1 before losing to the eventual winner, Phil Taylor 3-0.
Steve was at the Blue Square South West UK Open this weekend (10/02/08). He played very well defeating Paul Cooper 5-3 in the first round, before narrowly losing in the final leg 5-4 to World number 14 Ronnie Baxter.
Stan James.com Players Championships 2008
Steve was in Gibraltar this weekend (20/01/08). He was unlucky to be defeated in the first round on the Saturday but reached the last 64 on the Sunday. He defeated Stefan Federico 3-0 before losing to Mark Lawrence 3-1 in sets.
Steve played at the Blue Square North East UK Open this weekend (13/01/08). He played very well but was defeated early on, by a very in form David Platt.
Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship Latest
Steve started his 2nd round match brilliantly today (27/12/07), going 3-0 up in sets and was just 1 leg away from victory. However a superb fightback saw Tony Eccles come back to win 4-3 in sets.

Ladbrokes Exhibition
Mr Magic was at the new Ladbrokes shop in Southend yesterday (14/12/07), customers could challenge Steve & anyone successful would get a free £2 bet. Thanks to everybody who helped in organising the event.
